I put them in soil but they become thin.
I noticed this recently and since then I can't stop thinking about whether I should intervene or not. Until now I hadn't had to do anything like this and that's why I have so many doubts.

It means a lack of water. Mist lightly or water once they have roots.
Sometimes I did nothing and it was exactly what they needed. Over time I learned that touching less usually yields better results.
